a brief overview of how our tours take place

Ready, Set… Go!

We recommend to reach the starting point about 15 minutes before the time agreed with the skippers. Tours start from Cala Ponte Marina, the tourist port of Polignano a Mare

The first stop, Grotta delle Rondinelle

Just outside the marina we come across the fantastic cave of the swallows. Fantastic because the entrance is impressive. According to one of the stories related to Polignano, the cave owes its name to a swallow that year after year used to build its nest in one of the many crevices of the vault of the cave overlooking the sea. Many years ago, one of those famous violent storms from the north, destroyed it by dragging the poor animal and its young into the waters.

Cala Paura

Starts from contrada “Fratta” on the north-west edge of the town and ends at the sea in the cove called Paguro, characteristic for the typical architectural constructions spontaneous Mediterranean; still today it is used by fishermen as a landing place for fishing boats; the possibility of renting the pedal boats available in the adjacent cove (excavated at the beginning of the 1950s) is a summer attraction for tourists and locals, attracted by the opportunity to visit the changing shades of the caves that run under the coast of the historic city center.

Monachile blade

From contrada “Pozzo Cavalieri”, passes through the S. Angelo district and, after passing through the town, flows into the suggestive Cala Monachile, an ancient commercial port during the Venetian domination at the end of the 15th century beginning of the 16th century which has now become the focal point of tourist and village life and above all the call of summer nights.

After an hour and forty-five minutes, we return to the port of Cala Ponte Marina, where our skippers will say goodbye, waiting for you as soon as possible for the next tour! We can't wait to see you again and take you on another adventure with us. Yes, because every tour, even if following the same route, is always a new experience.

Where do we start from?

As you may have understood, the tour starts from the tourist port of Polignano a Mare, Cala Ponte Marina, in Via San Vito in Polignano, near the junction for the S.S. 16. We advise you to reach the starting point of the tour a few minutes before, to ensure that you can manage everything on schedule, with the utmost tranquility and punctuality.

I booked the tour, I can't wait to get on board, but what is the most suitable clothing for the excursions?

It may seem like a super trivial question, but it is not ... Many guests have asked us, so we advise you to get comfortable, with a swimsuit, a pair of slippers and a towel for the body. As well because, at the end of each excursion it will be possible to stop and dive into the fantastic waters of Polignano a Mare. Obviously, this is our advice, to make the most of this fantastic experience, but yu can still stay safely on board our boats simply with any clothing you prefer.

Is it possible to bring food on board the boats?

Of course! Nothing prevents you from consuming food on board.
